Bloomington-Normal/McLean County

McLean County Industrial Center
Interstate Realty, Inc. and L.B. Anderson & Company have acquired 550 acres of land in Chenoa to develop the McLean County Industrial Center. It will consist of an industrial and business park near Interstate 55 and U.S. Route 24. The Anderson Company will develop the land and build buildings to suit their customers or provide land for them to build their own warehouses and manufacturing facilities.

Twin Groves Wind Farm
The Twin Groves Wind Farm is being developed by Horizon Wind Energy. The wind farm will include up to 267 wind turbine generators, producing about 400 megawatts of energy and serving approximately 120,000 homes.

Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
The Marriott Hotel is part of the Town of Normal's Downtown Redevelopment Plan. It will be a 10-story, full service hotel with 230 guest rooms, a 40,000 s.f. conference center, a restaurant and a pool and exercise center. The hotel will be located across from Illinois State University's Watterson Towers.

Livingston County

GLCEDC awarded $500,000 grant from the Livingston County Board
GLCEDC used the funding to create a Commercial Business and a Community Infrastructure Grant as well as a forthcoming low-interest loan program. More information about the grants, grant applications, and grant recipients can be found by following the link above.
